2010 Crafter Letter Of Invitation
Dear Crafts Exhibitor:
I’d like to thank you for your continued support of the Appalachian Festival in Cincinnati, Ohio!
As you may know, the Appalachian Festival began as a very small exhibit of traditional crafts and music performances at Cincinnati’s Music Hall in 1970, by volunteers of the Junior League. In 1974, The Appalachian Community Development Association began coordinating our event – who’s an all-volunteer organization. Festival proceeds are distributed through our Small Grants Programs to projects that propose to teach Greater Cincinnati area residents of traditional Appalachian Arts and Culture. An estimated $200,000 has been distributed since the early 90’s.
In recognition of your continued support, The A.C.D.A. Board’s authorized us to discount the 2010 rates!

In 2003, The A.C.D.A. also began co-coordinating an Appalachian Culture Fest with the Cincinnati Museum Center, as part of CMC’s Passport to the World Series. The Passport includes five different Culture Fests, highlighting the Latin, Asian, Celtic, Appalachian and African Cultures. Please consider attending this growing show.

Our jury committee’s comprised of all volunteers and we need your help in selecting the BEST high quality artisans to participate in our shows! Please note: numerous violations such as buy/sell, space boundaries, demonstrators not demonstrating and selling of unapproved items have been repeatedly reported during past festivals. If you (the applicant), do not make the artwork – DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO SELL IT! We have a strict policy against imports and buy/sell items. Violators will be escorted out of the event, without refund, immediately! By signing your application, you’re agreeing to our Application Guidelines.
NEW THIS YEAR! Artisans can now purchase advertisement space in the Appalachian Festival Program. Please contact Allison Raisor, 513-251-3378, regarding prices and specifications.
Thank you for your continued support and we’re looking forward to having another wonderful year!
Sincerely,
Sandra Moss Allison Raisor
